    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1857/59: 1 s. slate-violet, wmk. Star, imperforate, a used example of fine colour with large margins all round and showing portion of adjoining stamp at top, on 1859 entire letter at double rate from Colombo endorsed "Via Marseilles" to London, tied by barred obliterator in black. Reverse with "COLOMBO / POST PAID" in red (Aug 30) and 'London / Paid' cds (Sept 27) in red. A fine and scarce entire.
