    Recess by Perkins Bacon on white paper 1857: 1 d. blue, wmk. Star, imperforate, variety on blued paper, used on 1862 mourning cover to Chelsea, London endorsed "via Southampton", in combination with 1861/64 5 d. brown perf. 14-15½, tied by barred obliterators in black. "GALLE / POST PAID" datestamp of despatch in red below (March 17) and reverse with London arrival cds (April 18) in black.
