Recess by Perkins Bacon 1857 (Aug 24): 1 d. blue on white paper, wmk. Star, imperforate, the used group with a superb large margined example (cert. BPA, 1970), single 1 d. blue on blued paper superb used (signed A. Diena), and a horizontal pair on white paper with clear to large margins all round (cert. BPA, 1970), all three items showing portions of adjoining stamps; a fine and choice group Gi = £ 300+.
