    Recess by Perkins Bacon on blued paper 1857 (April 1): 6 d. purple-brown on blued paper, wmk. Star, imperforate, an unused example with three ample margins and just touched at lower right, of reasonably good colour and traces of original gum. An extremely rare stamp with, it is believed, less than fifteen examples known in unused condition. Cert. BPA (2021) Gi = £ 12'000.
