    British Post Office 1854: Outer letter sheet from Buenos Aires to Bilbao, Spain endorsed 'por Teneriffe y Cadiz', struck with 'Buenos-Ayres' British P.O. cds on reverse and, on obverse by fine strike of "♚ / PAID AT BUENOS AYRES" handstamp in black with manuscript prepayment '1/-' in red ink alongside. Reverse with "Santa Cruz / Canarias" transit (Dec. 6) and Bilbao arrival cds (Jan. 16, 1855) both in red, rated "24 Rs." in red due upon arrival. A tad dusty and file fold but scarce Scott = $ 900 / Gi = £ 850.
