    1841: 1 d. pink envelope (78 W.W.) used in 1853 from Dublin to Major Ashe, Commanding Artillery, Aden endorsed "Via Marseilles", with despatch cds (Aug 18) and London transit in red on reverse. Charged "2/-" due to pay in manuscript. A rare usage to an extraordinary destination for the 1 d. pink envelope - the sole example recorded in the Karl Louis card index and probably unique.
