    1841: 1 d. pink envelope (16.4.60) used in 1860 from Paris to London as formula envelope and franked by France 1853 40 c. orange tied by 'M' dotted lozenge in black. Found to be double rate and struck with framed "AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT" in red and charged '12' décimes in manuscript and, on arrival, struck with circular "MORE TO PAY" in red with 1 shilling due to pay.
