    1841: 1 d. pink postal stationery envelopes (2), both with internal printed advertising with August 2, 1841 example advertising "Sloper's New Postage Envelopes" used from London to Glasgow cancelled by Maltese Cross in black with Glasgow arrival (Aug 4) on reverse - this being the earliest recorded commercial advertising found on a 1 d. pink; together with another early example (23 November 1841) with printed "Great Northern Advertiser" announcement in blue. An exceptional pair.
