    1871/72: 80 c. rose, a horizontal strip of three used on 1873 double rate cover to Bordeaux endorsed "via Brindisi" cancelled by dotted "INDE" lozenge in black. "INDE / PONDICHERY" despatch cds below (March 14) in black and red 'PD' alongside. Carried on the P&O steamer "Peshawar" from Bombay to to Suez, with "Col. Fr. V. Brind / A. Mod" transit in red and arrival ((April 7) on reverse. A charming cover. Signed Calves. Cert. Roumet (2009)
