    1859/65: Eagle 20 c. blue and 40 c. vermilion used on 1869 entire letter to Bordeaux tied by neat strikes of the 81 dot diamond lozenge in black with "INDE / PONDICHERY" despatch cds (June 4) in black below and red 'PD'. Carried by French steamer "Meinam" to Galle where collected by the "Impératrice" for the journey to Suez. Octagonal "ET. FR. INDE. V.S. / AMB MARS" entry marking in red (July 2). A fine and attractive entire. Signed Roumet.
