    James Bogardus & Henry Coffin 1929: The "Royal Reprints" of the Essays produced by Bogardus and Coffin for the 1839 Treasury competition (the pair won one of the four prizes awarded), oval Queen Victoria head in a silhouette design, two printed in dark brown on fine quality smooth white paper and one in red. These were struck in three colours in 1929 for King George V and a few other prominent philatelists of the time, from the original Die found amongst Rowland Hill's papers in the 1920's. The Die itself is still housed in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III. Extremely rare and seldom seen.
