    Charles Whiting 1840 (March): Essay No. 1 by Whiting, with the central oval 1 d. design with extraordinarily fine quality engine-turning surround, flanked by two circular designs with "No." printed in black on thick cream wove paper, taken from the pamphlet entitled "The London and Westminster Review" dated in March 1840; these being cut from the top of the page six designs.
