    1841: 2 d. blue, pl. 4, five examples lettered DC, BB, BA, AC and a second DC (most unusual thus) used on 1853 cover from Maidstone to Paris lightly tied by '493' numeral obliterators with oval 'PD' at left. Calais transit in red (April 26). Reverse with Maidstone despatch cds in brown and Paris arrival. Faults but a scarce franking.
