    1861: Entire letter to Bordeaux with "Bureau de Pondichery" cds of despatch (May 11) in black, carried from Madras on the P&O "Simla" to Galle and Suez, and thence on the "Massilia" from Alexandria to Marseille with "Col Fra. / Suez Amb. C." entry marking in red (June 12). Mis-routed to Perpignan and La Junquera and taxed "4Rs." in black in Spain and returned to Bordeaux (June 14) with "6" décimes in manuscript charged on reverse. An unusual entire.
