    1840: 1 d. black, plate 5, lettered TA, a used example with large even margins all round, used on 1841 cover from Poulton Le Fylde to Skipton tied by "Poulton / Penny Post" in black and by Maltese Cross in magenta ink. Reverse with Preston transit cds (Jan 8) in black. Ironed file fold well away from the fine adhesive, a very rare and most attractive usage. Unrecorded in Rockoff & Jackson.
