    1859 (Dec 12): Dardenne 2 d. blue in a horizontal pair, a fine and fresh used multiple with good to large margins all round on 1860 entire letter to Marseille, endorsed "per Salsette / via Suez". Each adhesive tied separately by dumb obliterator in black. The front struck by French "PAYS ETR. V. SUEZ 3 AVRIL 60 AMB B" entry cds in red, reverse with crowned MAURITIUS despatch (March 8) and MARSEILLE arrival (April 4) datestamps. Charged upon arrival with '8' decimes, very fine pair and most attractive entire, signed Dieten, A. Diena & Calves; cert.
