    Austrian Shipmail, Port Markings for Ship letters, Adriatic Sea 1869c (Nov): Cover from Trieste to Scutari d'Albania bearing 1867 coarse whiskers 10 kr. blue (some irregularities at top left) tied by fair two-line "TRIESTE / COL VAPORE" handstamp in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 20 / Klein 7952a), transit ZARA (Nov 26) cds on reverse. Upon arrival Turkish Postage Due 1 pi. and 20 pa. brown (Mi 11Aa + 12Ab) were added to the reverse, tied by light Scutari handstamp (Coles & Walker fig. 3 / Tchilinghirian fig. 498). Sideflaps missing and opened up for display, nevertheless a fine and fresh Shipmail item, signed E. Diena; cert. Ferchenbauer (1982) Ferchenbauer = € 4'000.rnNote: After the Austrian rate unification of 1866, the rate from the Küstenland harbours to Albania was reduced to 10 kreuzer.
