    1885: De La Rue Essay for proposed 2 s. 6 d. value to replace the 'St. George & Dragon' Fiscal high values, entirely hand-drawn and painted in pencil and shades of purple ink, highlighted with Chinese on large card marked "A" at lower right and dated "DEC 22.85" at top right in pencil. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6246.
