    1892: De La Rue Essay for the proposed 5 d. value, hand-painted on tracing paper (56 x 84 mm.) with the Shield and Arms in black ink and in pencil, the Arms and SOUTH AUSTRALIA legend and Duty Plate picked out in Chinese white. Dated at top in manuscript "JULY 12th 92". Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6049. A glorious example of the artist's handiwork.
