    1848 (Sept 27): Official cover endorsed OHMS to the Colonial Secretary in Sydney (Edward Deas Thomson at this date), struck with fine octagonal framed "FREE" in black, reverse with oval framed "MAITLAND / ♚ / SE 27 / 1848 / NEW S.
