1838 (Sep 15): Entire letter from Rollins Hill, Port Macquarie to Deptford, England endorsed 'Single' and 'Paid 7d.' in manuscript; with octagonal framed "PORT / MACQUARIE / PAID" in red and circular "PORT MACQUARIE / N.S.W." in black; internally rated at 4d. Ship Letter and a further 3d. for outwards Ship Letter. Reverse with "♚ / GENERAL POST OFFICE / OC 17 / 1838 / SYDNEY" transit in black alongside unframed "INDIA LETTER / FALMOUTH" well struck in red (Robertson In. 1 var) and London datestamps in red (Feb 10, 1839) where charged at '1/2d.' to pay in manuscript and "T.P. / Rate 2d." in black.
