    Italian Post in Tunis, Levante Emissioni generali 1887 (March 19): Envelope from Tunisi to Napoli, bearing 1874 Torino-like printing with ESTERO ovpt 1 c. green-olive (two blocks of ten) on front and reverse, tied by light barred '235' numeral obliterator in black. Front struck by light "TUNISI POSTE ITALIANE" cds, reverse with indistinct Napoli arrival cds. The cover opened up for presentation reasons on three sides, stabilized with scotch, which is visible from the front, nevertheless a most exceptional way to pay the 20 c. rate to Italy. One of the key covers of the Italian post offices in Tunis. Signed Emilio Diena & Raybaudi; certs. A.
