    Italian Post in Tunis, Usage of Italian stamps 1872 (Jan 31): Triple rate envelope from Tunisi to the consul of the Bey of Tunis in Geneva, Switzerland, bearing 1866 Torino printing 30 c. 'bruno castano' in a horizontal strip of four, tied by light '235' numeral obliterator in black, "TUNISI POSTE ITALIANE" cds and "P.D." handstamp in black alongside. Reverse with Cagliari transit and Swiss ambulant (Feb 4) cds's. A fine and fresh cover, the franking paying correctly three times the 40 c. letter rate to Switzerland, a rare destination from Tunis.
