    1852 (Jan): 50 baj. azzuro oltremare scuro, the 1864 defective print run ' stampa difettosa', a fine example with large margins in combination with 4 baj. giallo vivo (touched at right), tied by two oily strikes of grill of Rome, on envelope to Breslau, Prussia. Obverse struck with "ROMA 27 MAR 67" despatch cds and framed PD, both in black, French "É-PONT. MARSEILLE 31 MARS 67" entry cds in red and Prussian "AUS FRANKREICH PER AACHEN 31 / 3" entry cds in blue. Reverse with distribution cds (April 1). Cover opened on three sides and torn at right when opened but stabilized. Underpaid by 1 bajoccho to pay the quintuple letter rate of 11 baj. in the tariff of September 1866 using French mediation.
