    1858: 20 gr. 'rosa lilliaceo' from plate I, a fresh and fine adhesive, large to huge margined in a deep shade, tied by superb boxed ANNULLATO to cover from Napoli to Girgenti, Sicily, endorsed "p. vapore Calabrese via Palermo". Reverse with NAPOLI despatch handstamp (May 25, 1858) in red and arrival (May 27) datestamp in violet. Very attractive cover, the franking paying correctly the rate for a cover of two sheets transported with Italian contract or French shipmail. Signed Mondolfo & Avanzo; cert. E.
