    Incoming from Greek offices in the Levant 1869 (Dec 20): Unpaid cover from Smyrna to Patras, despatch "SMIRNA TURKIA" cds on front in black, charged upon arrival with '40' (lepta) in red crayon and taxed with Cleaned Plates printing 40 l. mauve on blue, a superb adhesive with large to enormous margins and in a deep vibrant shade, tied by "PATRAI 24 DEC 69" arrival cds.
