French Post Offices in Tunesia 1867 (March 9): Cover from Tunis to Marseille, bearing Napoléon perf. 40 c. orange showing a very intense print, a fresh example tied by light Gros Chiffres '5107' numeral lozenge. Cogwheel "TUNIS 9 MARS 67" despatch cds as well as framed PD and Shipmail's "TUNIS-PAR BÔNE ALGERIE 10 MARS 67" cds, both in red alongside. Reverse with arrival cds (March 15). An attractive item, the franking paying correctly the 40 centimes single January 1866 rate from the French offices in Tunesia via Algeria to mainland France.
