    French Shipmail towards or from the Americas 1871 (May 30): Envelope from Buenos-Ayres to Abilly, Indre-et-Loire, bearing Bordeaux 80 c. rose with fresh colour and fair to large margins, tied by Anchor lozenge with octagonal "BUENOS-AYRES PAQ. FR. No. 2 30 MAI 71" datestamp (Salles 1072C = 400 points) and framed PD in red alongside. Reverse with Paris transit and ABILLY cogwheel arrival (June 30) cds. PD handstamp repainted with ink, nevertheless a most appealing single rate Shipmail cover from Argentina, in addition an extremely rare usage of the Bordeaux issue in South America.
