    1870: Envelope from Cogolin to a prisoner of war in Dresden, bearing Bordeaux 10 c. bistre report 2 in mixed franking with Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type I, two fine and fresh examples, each tied by Gros Chiffres '1067' numeral lozenge, despatch cds (June 4, 1871) and postman's handstamp 'B' alongside. Reverse with "KRIEGSGEFANGENEN - DEPOT DRESDEN" handstamp in bluish green, distribution (July 3) cds and Marseille ambulant. The cover was found to be underfranked, but not taxed. When arriving in Dresden, the POW was already released and obviously on its way home, noted as 'Entlassen' on reverse. Signed Pothion.
