1868: Prepaid cover to Murrayfield, Scotland struck with "GAMBIA" code A cds in red (Dec 17) with manuscript rate '10d.' in red crayon. Circular "PAID / LIVERPOOL / BR. PACKET" cds in red (Dec 31) and reverse with Edinburgh arrival (Jan 1, 1869) in black. The cover has restored tears at top but nevertheless scarce.rnProvenance: Collection Colin McCaig.
