1899: De La Rue Appendix sheet bearing four examples of the 5 d. dull purple & mauve (Gi 119) Imperforate, all four surcharged with a bar through the FIVE PENCE Duty Plate in red (2) and in black (2), the top examples with "3d." surcharge in red and in black; the lower two examples surcharged "THREE PENCE" in red and in black respectively. The sheet dated at top "13th Oct 1899" with file number below, manuscript "App'd. 17/10" (Approved) at left. Illustrated in "The De La Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6398.
