    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1851/55: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) brick-red on blued paper, a used example with good to large margins all round, used on 1854 entire letter from Cuidad Bolivar, Venezuela (June 14) to New York, lightly tied in transit at Port of Spain and well tied on arrival by large circular "N. YORK BR. PKT / 5" datestamp in black (Aug 3). Reverse with 'Trinidad' double arc cds and single ring (1 / June 25) datestamp alongside St. Thomas double arc (July 1) transit in black.
