1861: 1 d. rose-red, perf. 14 to 16 in a horizontal strip of four, 1862 4 d. deep green in a horizontal pair, used on 1865 cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris, France cancelled by four strikes of the Kingstown "A10" obliterator in black with 'Saint Vincent' datestamp in black (July 8) below. Manuscript credit mark '1/3d.' below in red crayon and 'London/ Paid' cds of transit (July 29) with circular PD in red. Calais transit also on obverse with Paris arrival on reverse. Minor wrinkles but a splendid, rare and famous cover. Cert.
