    1841/42: Correspondence of entire letters (10), some with enclosures, all addressed from Atfe to Sonnino in Alexandria, all with headed "Col Rais..." endorsements at top, with named Postal Couriers (see Biolato handbook on "Posta Europea" for more information on these manuscript endorsements which were the precursor to the Posta Europea service); one with "Con Corriere.." with time of departure endorsement another disinfected by fumigation. A scarce and most unusual group.
