1908 (Jan 6): "Imperium" Colour Trials for six proposed Postage & Revenue values, all removed form the De La Rue Appendix sheet, utilising the 6 d. value Imperforate, with 6 d. in pale blue (proposed 2½ d.), 6 d. in dull purple on yellow (3 d.), 6 d. dull greyish-purple & red on yellow (4 d.), 6 d. grey & black on green (1 s.), 6 d. green & red on yellow (5 s.) and 6 d. green & red on green (10 s.), the items shown were marked and signed off in the DLR records with "Approved for values stated". For illustration of the original Appendix sheet see "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP page 2480.
