    1898/99: Essay by De La Rue for the Virgin definitive issue, an Imperforate Essay printed in deep indigo-blue on pale blue paper, with the halo and rays of light picked out by hand in Chinese white, mounted on large thick card for proposal dated "March 7th 98" at top right in ink. Ex the De La Rue archives, illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6507.
