    Great War 1917 (Oct 27): Cover bearing 2 x ½ d. green used to 2nd. Lt. E.A.G. Coules, Royal Enbgineers 29th Field Co., British Expeditinary Force in France; with "Field Post Office / 106" arrival on reverse (Nov 4). The cover Censored and returned with various cachets and marked "DECEASED" in pencil. Sold together with Buckingham Palace "I join with my grateful people in sending you this memorial of a brave life given for others in the Great War" and stencil signature of George V below; and the envelope to the soldier's father A.H. Coules (Chairman of Reuters) containing a large circular (120 mm.) inscribed memorial Medal "He died for Freedom and Honour".
