1886 (Feb 16): De La Rue Appendix sheet in two halves endorsed "Ceylon Postage Stamps, Proposed Scheme of Colours", bearing rectangular De La Rue designs (7) in different colours, with proposed values for 2 c. in green, 5 c. in deep lilac, 8 c. in orange-yellow, with manuscript alongside "Colours of existing stamps"; 15 c. in sage-green, 25 c. reddish purple and 28 c. in blue with manuscript "Proposed Colours..."; 1 r. 12 c. in dull rose with manuscript "Colour of existing large size stamp" and further manuscript at base "....these duties actually in use or for the new ones...".
