    1885 (Jan 21): De La Rue Appendix sheet in two halves for "Ceylon Postage Stamps, Proposed Scheme of Colours", with Imperforate Colour Trials of the 24 c. value in twelve different colours and annotated proposals for the colours of the new values from 2 cents (= ½ d.) in dull slate green through to 96 cents in drab annotated "Colour of the 96 c.",  together with the 1 r. 12 c. showing previous 2 r. 50 c. dull rose, perf. 12½ (Gi 141 = £ 3'250) annotated "Colour of existing 2 r. 50 c. stamp" . A marvellous Appendix sheet with much information on the issue. Illustrated in the De La Rue Collection edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 2522.
