    Recess by De La Rue 1863/66: 4 d. rose and 9 d. sepia, wmk. Crown CC type 5, perf. 12½, used on on 1869 single rate cover to London endorsed "via Marseilles" each tied in manuscript and by "A" obliterator handstamps in black. "COLOMBO / PAID" cds of despatch in red (Sept 4) and reverse with London arrival (Oct 2) in red. Minor imperfections to outer letter sheet but a scarce usage.
