    1896 (May): Type-written "Half- / Penny-" in violet on 7½ d. on 2 d. pale blue, additionally surcharged in Tongan reading down in black, perf. 12 x 11, an unused example, position 13 on the right pane, with partial original rice paper backing, normal centering for the issue, and a further example showing "Half- / -Penny-" variety with hyphen before "Penny", some toning on part og. Scarce stamp Gi = £ 190+.
