    1901 (Oct 8): 1 d. brown overprinted ♚ in black, three single examples, a horizontal pair and strip of three, all used on 1902 registered cover to Wells Fargo & Co. in San Francisco tied by "Cook Islands / Rarotonga" circular datestamps (June 3) wth framed "Cook Islands / Rarotonga" registration cachet centrally struck in violet. Reverse with val "Charles W. Banks / Rarrotonga" cachet in violet, Auckland transit (June 14) and San Francisco registered arrival (July 14) in red. A fine and very rare cover.
