1915/16: 6 d. ultramarine, Die II, an unused example, type c, position 60 on the right hand pane / forme of 30 subjects, variety "Retouched second "E" of PENCE", well centred and of good colour, fresh and fine, dried large part og. An exceptional stamp - position 1R60, from the 1st printing of 17 sheets (a total printing of 4'080 stamps in 136 panes / formes of 30; just 17 examples of this stamp therefore exist, many of which are known to be faulty and damaged. This example is free of faults and finer than the example sold at Corinphila in the Hess collection (June 2019, lot 3760) and superb. Signed Peter Holcombe. Cert.
