Antilles 1880: Puerto Rico 25 c. grey-blue, a used example on 1880 cover to Paris tied by faint oval network handstamp, reverse with fine oval "PLAYA DE MAYAGUEZ / PTO. RICO" despatch datestamp (March 22). Underpaid by 15 c. and struck with triangular "T" marking surrounded by array of manuscript notations; reverse with fine circular "LIGNE F. / PAQ.FR." in black (March 22) and fair only "octagonal "LIGNE B" datestamp (March 28) and Paris arrival (April 12) where eventually taxed at '2' décimes due. Slight closed tears at right but a scarce and unusual cover.Starting bid : 200 CHFHammer price : not sold -
