Antilles 1856: Cuba ½ p. greenish-blue on rough paper, a used example with ample margins all round, used on 1858 sealed entire letter to France endorsed "Par Paquet Anglais", tied by oval network handstamp in black with fine "ARROYO / PUERTO RICO" despatch cds in blue (May 26) at right. Reverse with British P.O. "SAN JUAN PORTO RICO" cds in black . Thence via London where "GB / 1F 60c." accountancy mark applied in black (June 14).
