    1856: Mexico District 2 r. green, a fine example, touched, used on 1 September 1857 entire letter from Mexico to Mauzé, France endorsed "par voie d'Angleterre" tied by "FRANCO / MEXICO" handstamp in black (Schatzkes fig. 821) paying the internal rate. British P.O. VERA CRUZ cds on reverse (Sept 4) in black and London transit in red (Oct 1) where "GB / 1F 60c." accountancy marking applied. Charged with handstruck '8' décimes due marking in black. A fine and scarce entire. Cert. Mepsi (2021).
