1869: 10 c. yellowish orange, a used example on 1870 cover to Paris tied in black with San Francisco despatch cds (July 14), via New York with transit cds in red (July 21). Carried on Cunard Steamer "Abyssinia" with London transit cds on reverse in red (Aug 5) and struck there with "GB / 40c." accountancy mark applied in black. Charged at double rate with '10' décimes due marking in black on arrival. Corner imperfection to envelope at left but a scarce usage.Starting bid : 200 CHFHammer price : not sold -
