1893: Stampless envelope mailed from Paris to Lisbon with despatch cds (Jan 10) in black and triangular "T" marking; taxed on arrival with '100' reis charge mark in black and refused by addressee (the Comte de Valbom) with "REFUGO / PORTUGAL" datestamp in violet. Returned to sender and struck with three line "RETOUR / A L'ENVOYEUR / RÉCLAMATIONS" twice in blue and charged with 1881 Postage Due 50 c. black (Maury T20) with Lisbon cds and re-arrival Paris cds (April 14) on reverse.Starting bid : 120 CHFHammer price : not sold -
