1897/1900: Covers (2) both sent unpaid from Paris and returned to sender, with 1900 cover to the Island of Bali taxed on arrival with 1882/92 Postage Due 2½ c., 15 c. and 20 c. black & rose tied by SINGARADJA datestamps and taxed again when initially redirected at 35 c. (same franking) at Ampenan; Dues deleted in manuscript and returned to Paris where taxed with 50 c. lilac Due; and an 1897 cover to Soerabaja with Postage Due 2½ c., 10 c. (2) and 15 c. black & rose tied by Soerabaja datestamps and INCONNU pink label applied to reverse; deleted and returned to sender in Paris where taxed with 50 c. lilac Due.
