    Italy 1862 (Sept 20): Cover from Bologna to Paris, forwarded to Courson-les-Carrières, Yonne, bearing 1862 first Italian issue 20 c. indigo in a horizontal pair, a fine multiple, tied by light BOLOGNA despatch cds in black, "P.D." handstamp and French "ITALIE 23 SEPT .. LANSLEBOURG" entry cds, both in red alongside. The addressee was not in Paris and the cover was again despatched by throwing it into the postbox, Italian adhesives and datestamps were crossed by pen, a framed "Trouvé à la Boite" handstamp and a "PARIS 30c" taxation datestamp (Sept 23) was struck on front. Reverse with TORINO and PARIS transit as well as an indistinct arrival cds's. An interesting cover full of character, coming from abroad but taxed for a French inland forwarding.
